Ladies Who Lunch: al Fresco!

Hey Guys,

I got a sneak peak at some of the stunning clothing coming from Ladies Who Lunch for her amazingballz show that is named al Fresco! that will be Saturday, May 19th @ 10 AM and 12 PM

This outfit is comprised of two pieces from the upcoming collection; first the dress.

OMG can i just say that about the Favorite Scarves Dress in yellows. I think a dress made of vintage scarves is SOO BOHO.  Like the scarves, in any other circumstance, would not fit together.  They have nothing in common with each other.  Yet, when put together to made this little dress, its perfection.

I paired this scarves dress with some cheetah print heels to match the front section of the dress.  It just is like the right amount of matchy-matchy.

There is so much more to come from the al Fresco! collection from Ladies Who Lunch to come.

FINESMITH: MOHAR @ The Couturier's Docks

Hey Guys,

Today, The Couturier's Docks @ SaliMar Art Sim opened for the public.  And I have one of my favorite jewelry designers...who are we kidding, my only jewelry designer i wear, FINESMITH.

This is the MOHAR set in White with turquoise accents.  I absolutely love the that combo, its just so fresh and reminds me of like exotic and foreign places.

In this set, there are matching earrings, a necklace, and a forearm bracelet.

The earrings main focal point has the same texture as the main focal point on the necklace.  There are smaller round piece around the earrings and necklace that coincide with each other.  The necklace base that fits around the neck has the same design as the forearm bracelet; with the repetitive bands of white material in that skewed in similar patterns.

The Couturier's Docks is a new limited edition fashion event hosted by Mila Tatham, riri Ninni and Caomie Lionhart. There is a kick off party today and snap up some of the exclusive items while they last.

Ladies Who Lunch: [LWL] Deconstructed Jumper

Hey Guys,

Culture Shock is in full swing, and what a treat I have for you guys.  Ladies Who Lunch has been producing some very amazing mesh creations; but no other tops the Deconstructed Jumper.

The Deconstructed Jumper is exactly what the name entails.  The garment looks to be in the midst of it's own deconstruction with pieces of yarn falling off and swaying in the wind.  I think just the idea of this outfit is amazing.  Who else would think of a tattered jumper made of yarn?

I love the sleeveless sleeve...OXYMORON I KNOW!!! but that the only way i can explain it haha.  Its a sleeve, but it dosnt attach to the jumper itself.  And its not a glove because it end at the wrists.  So its a sleeveless sleeve.

GENIUS!!

Each of the jumpers either comes in a different color, or comes in a different color with a corresponding print on the front of it.  For example, that jumper I'm wearing has the Oatmeal with Horse version of the jumper.

There are also;
  • Charcoal with Eagle
  • Heather with Tiger
  • Pale with Rose
  • Purple with Cross
Like I said too, the jumper do come in just the colors without the prints on the front.

These are only available at Culture Shock as of right now, so you better get over there before it's to late.  Remember, 10% of all the items at the Ladies Who Lunch Outfit @ Culture Shock will go towards the
Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders).

GizzA: POM POM IN RED

Hey Guys,

OMG I am such a bad person for not blogging since April 30th..UGHH I'm so so so so sorry.  Finals were last week and I wanted to take some time for summer break until I got back to classes Monday for a photography class I'm taking.

So i hope this will make it up to you guys.  It's the new Pom Pom collection from GizzA.

Pom Pom is the newest mesh collection from GizzA.  This off-the-shoulder jumpsuit comes in three colors;
  • Red
  • Black
  • Purple
I have been dying to get my hands on the off-the-shoulder tops and suits that are now becoming BIG in  the mesh crazed world we live in now.  I think show the shoulder is such a subtle way of being sexy without being to SLUTTY.

Anything coming from GizzA is just amazing, and the additional component of mesh just sets the bar for all other designers in the grid.  This is how you mix sexy and elegance, the Pom Pom Jumpsuit from GizzA.

Taylor

ABOUT ASHRAYA
Ashraya is an organization based in India which operates with the purpose of providing aid to Indian children in need and abused women through the implementation of various projects.
From the organization’s website:
“Ashraya”, meaning ‘Shelter’ has brought hope and love into the lives of several hundred children and women, over many years. Founded and registered in 1982, the Bangalore based organization is dedicated to finding solutions for children within the frame work of their own biological families, or in adoptive homes. Initially, the organization’s main function was to work with and rehabilitate destitute, poor and abandoned children. It has now extended its services to the family as a whole.”    (http://www.ashraya.net)
As is true in so many nations throughout our world, the quality of care for institutionalized children suffers due to lack of resources and financial support. When founded, Ashraya’s purpose was to improve the quality of care for these children.
The organization operates under the firm belief that such institutions are best only as temporary placement for children, and adoption has become a large piece of Ashraya’s mission. Through the important work done here, hundreds of children are placed with their forever families and are able to enjoy happiness and a bright future.
Education is highly valued by Ashraya, and that is why the organization also supports endeavors to provide schooling to children who would not otherwise be able to learn to read and write.
By helping children lead safe, happy lives and providing them with the important tools that a solid education can bring, Ashraya continues to improve the world, one young life at a time.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT
Our focus with this project will be to come to the aid of the many Indian children who need us today through the sponsorship of basic needs items as well as study programs. By participating in The ASHRAYA PROJECT, you too may help to provide food for a day or even a week, a pair of shoes, or clothing.
It is our hope that through our donations, we are able to help fund the education for as many children as possible. This, we believe, is a worthwhile cause.
Plans are currently underway for this exciting event which will open on May 5, 2012, with a KICKOFF CELEBRATION PARTY and two FASHION SHOWS featuring a live showcase of exclusive items which will be available at the FASHION FAIR running from May 6 until June 4.
Each vendor participating in the fair has agreed to offer at least one exclusive item, and the full proceeds for these exclusive items will be donated to Ashraya.
Throughout the month, we are planning various live performances for your enjoyment, and the event will close with the ART EXPO from May 28 until June 4, at which exclusive artistic creations from many talented artists on the grid will be featured and even available for purchase.
An ongoing raffle will also run during the event at which participants can win a variety of prizes ranging from personal styling sessions to photo shoots.
Our event will be held at two sims which have been graciously donated to us by BONAIRE ESTATES, and we are excited to be partnering with them for what promises to be an incredible project. The LM of the sims will be sent soon.
So many of the grid’s top designers have joined our team and will be participating as vendors in the fashion fair, and we are pleased to announce that we still have some spots available to add even more designers.
If you are interested in participating as designer, please contact Anna Sapphire for your application.
The complete list of the designers participating in The ASHRAYA PROJECT FASHION FAIR will be announced April 20.

-SAFARI- BACK TO NATURE

Heyy Guys,

The newest collection, -Safari-Back To Nature, is now available at FINESMITH.

The Back to Nature Collection is a creative and new phase in the way Yula creates her pieces.  Kind of like a statement pieces, but as a collection.  Comprised in this set, are a couple of new and inventive pieces like the pipe and helmet; which is a piece I have come to love.  There are also the popular matching earrings and necklaces.

The usage of textures in this collection really makes the look and feel of what it's named come alive. Especially the weaved texture in the helmet and also the necklace's claw pieces.

There are also a secondary pair of earrings in the collection that allows the wear to change the color/texture of the earrings.  Also, there is a collar that allows of a color/texture change menu too.  There are two bracelets that come in the set as well.  Kind of completes an all-around look with these additional pieces.

Overall, I think we should all got back to nature, live with the organic life that feeds up and lays way to our ever present destiny.  When you wear this collect, any pieces of this collection; you will awaken the beast inside of you.  The questions is...

ARE YOU READY?

Taylor

B Wants B Gets...

Hey Guys,

Eshi Otawara is a true artist in every sense of the word.  And this new outfit is just an extension of her artistic abilities.

This outfit, duly named "B Wants B Gets" is an outfit that anyone would be happy to own.  I absolutely love this mostly black outfit with a touch of red in the form of a bow.  Im loving the two-piece aspect of this outfit, especially the top with the striped jacket.

I think the touch of red with the bow is sooo cute, make the outfit look more innocent then the wore is...teehee.

FINESMITH: Play Cubes

Hey Guys,

FINESMITH, has just release some adorable earrings that will fit any stylist wardrobe.  For reals guys...

These cube-shaped earrings are just what the doctor orders.  The earrings comes in a multitude of colors including

  • Blood
  • Breakwater
  • Broadway
  • Burnt Orange
  • Coral
  • Forest
  • Fuschia
  • Monico
  • Moss
Each pair comes in stunning colors that I'm sure will fit with any styles you need them for.  It might be obvious, but I am so digging the geometric shape of the earrings.  Squares, to me, kind of elevate these earrings.  The shape makes it seem to have just enough couture and avant grade to it; without making it the star of the outfit.

It just give that right amount of style and polish to enhance your overall look.

Taylor
