MVW Jewelry from FINESMITH Part Six

Hey Guys,

For the sixth installment for the Miss Virtual World Jewelry pieces from FINESMITH I decided to the Miss United Kindom piece worn by Paulinha LaFevre.

This piece is one of the upmost elegance with this classy necklace.  The coupling of the gold and the black just really looks great.  It kind of makes the wearer looks regal.  In addition to the regales of the necklace; there is a matching bracelet and earrings with the same gold and black coupling.  This set really goes to show off classy of a place United Kingdom really is.

MVW Jewelry from FINESMITH Part Cinq

Hey Guys,

For the fifth post in the Miss Virtual World series, i decided to blog the Miss Australia jewelry set made by of course, FINESMITH.  In addition to that, I have the national costume from GizzA.

Miss Australia, Rissa Friller, had this jewelry set inspired by The Great Barrier Reef.  In this set, there are multitude of pieces that create this marvoulous look.  There are matching ring and bracelet adorned with coral, shells, and other sea items one might find around.  In addiction to the those, were are turquous nails that are so very cute.  To top off this aquatic look, there are a pair of earrings with protruding coral and cascading aqua colored pieces moving down the neck.

Overall, this set consists of soul and feel of the Great Barrier Reef.

MVW Jewelry from FINESMITH Part Quatre

Hey Guys,

For the four installment of the Miss Virtual World blogs, i have chosen to do Miss Belgium, Sylphia Constantine.

This beautiful gold and red set comes with a floral head piece with flowers shooting out of the had with a matching neckpiece with the same protruding flowers as in the head piece.  To extend this protruding flower idea, Yula crafted a flower umbrella with the flower stems acting as the spines of the umbrella.

MVW Jewelry from FINESMITH Part Deux

Hey Guys,

Here is another installment of Miss Virtual World jewelry created by Yula Finesmith.  This time, I had the pleasure of styling and blogging the one and only Miss Spain, Shena Neox.

The "Hermosa Espina", which in english means Beauitful Thorn, is just that.  An inspirited collection with the thought of thorns in mind; yet with a spanish flair to it.  What i absolutely love in this set would be the fans.  These hand and hair fans are one of the best things to show off something very feminine about the spanish culture and the people who hail from there.  This collection comes in three beautiful colors; Red, Black, and of course White.

MVW Jewelry from FINESMITH

Hey Guys,

So if you were living under a rock for the past week, you might not have heard that the Miss Virtual World Pageant was held and we have new Miss Virtual World for 2012, Anna Sapphire.  Congratulations girlie, you deserve it :))

Of course, a lot of the jewelry that was worn in the pageant was crafted by Yula Finesmith, and i got my hands on two of the misses jewelry set, Miss Netherlands, Draakje Dailey.

The Tulip Set, which was created to resemble the tulip which the netherlands are known to have.  This set comes in five different colors: black, pink, purple, red, white, and yellow.  Each ones is just a bright and vibrate as any organic tulips you could find in the real world.  Such a lovely and beautiful set.

Next, we have the jewelry piece crafted for Miss Russia, Rusalka Callisto.

This broach is such a stunning piece that looks to be from some victorian collection back in the 1800s.  You can find this broach either with a color changing script in it so you could have all the possible pieces in one piece.  Or get the piece or pieces you really want.

Overall,  all of the Misses in the MVW peasant represented their selected countries with the upmost dignity and finesse.  Cannot wait to see more of these great pieces to come out of FINESMITH in the next couple of weeks.

IMPEDING ON MY RIGHTS.

I usually never post thing on here about drama or anything like that.  But I think it is time that i say something that has just happened to me as a result of speaking my mind and giving an opinion.

As many know, two people have started a campaign to publicly remind people of their rights in second life.  Within the week of this flickr post being posted, there are over 100 comments and over 2,400 views.  There is considerable hatred being spread on this flickr post that I find to be deplorable.  I have asked one of these individuals to please please please take down that flickr post.  And i received nothing back.

I then decided to give me two cents on the matter in the flickr post.  And what i get for a stating my opinions.  I can not longer give me opinion on this matter on that flickr.  And i think that is just rude and against my rights.  They claim that that post was created to share your opinions and voices.

"Taylor, people should be given a voice and they have a right to post their opinions.
Just like you have your own opinion, you have to respect others as well.(http://www.flickr.com/photos/ricoracerflux/6282538776/in/photostream/page3/)".

Well guess what, i was stopped from giving my opinions and my voice was silenced in that flickr post.  So now I wanted to post here, on my own blog.  They claim that the post in question would give people a voice and to share their opinion.  But what has happened to me, i see it as they wanted to share voices and opinions only of people they share their same view on the matter.

So just think, if you speak your mind, and give your opinion.  Then guess what, these two individual will most likely silence you and not allow you to speak your mind on opinions that they don't share with you.

WORLD AIDS DAY

What is World AIDS Day?

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day and the first one was held in 1988.

Why is World AIDS Day important?

More than 90,000 people are currently living with HIV in the UK and globally an estimated 33.3 million people have HIV. More than 25 million people between 1981 and 2007 have died from the virus, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
Today, many scientific advances have been made in HIV treatment, there are laws to protect people living with HIV and we understand so much more about the condition. But despite this, people do not know the facts about how to protect themselves and others from HIV, and stigma and discrimination remain a reality for many people living with HIV. World AIDS Day is important as it reminds the public and Government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.

What should I do on World AIDS Day?

World AIDS Day is an opportunity for you to learn the facts about HIV and put your knowledge into action. If you understand how HIV is transmitted, how it can be prevented, and the reality of living with HIV today - you can use this knowledge to take care of your own health and the health of others, and ensure you treat everyone living with HIV fairly, and with respect and understanding. Click here to find out the facts.
You can also show your support for people living with HIV on World AIDS Day by wearing a red ribbon, the international symbol of HIV awareness.
World AIDS Day is also a great opportunity to raise money for NAT and show your support for people living with HIV. If you feel inspired to hold an event, bake sale or simply sell red ribbons, click here to get started. If you'd like to see what other events are taking place — click here and find out more.

But what about after World AIDS Day?

Although World AIDS Day is a great opportunity to get the public talking about HIV and fundraise, we need to remember the importance of raising awareness of HIV all year round. That's why NAT has launched HIVaware— a fun, interactive new website which provides all the information everyone should know about HIV. Why not use what you have learnt on World AIDS Day to Act Aware throughout the year and remember, you can fundraise at any time of year too — NAT is always here to give you suggestions and ideas.
